A fascinating and engaging chronicle of Gerald Durrell's six month expedition through New Zealand, Australia and Malaya,
when he was seeing what was being done by way of conservation in each country and to film a nature series for the BBC.
Review :
"Two in the Bush" is an immensly enjoyable read. It intrestingly and informatively tells of many creatures, whilst
humerously telling amusingly of various aspects of organisation and the irony and mishap. In this vein there are many
ancedotes, both those of the author about the trip, and those he heard on the trip. One which made me laugh a lot was the
attempt to transport a platypus to London Zoo in World War 2.
