The first of the funny, offbeat BTV episodes. Bernard is cleaning at the TV station and hear the
manager complaining about the TV shows (cue some excellent parodies). Bernard offers to produce
a show for him, and goes to Whit's End to get Connie, Eugene, Sam and others involved.
Review :
This is the wackiest episode up to this point in the series, and may not be everybody's cup of
tea. I found it pretty different when I first heard B-TV, only having heard episodes from the
sets "Other Times, Other Places" and "Darkness Before Dawn", but the style has gwon on me. There
are some very funny parodies and sketches. Once you get used to it, though B-TV is highly
enjoyable.
It is interesting to note all the BTV episodes have been written by Phil Lollar, who says in
the "Complete Guide to Adventures in Odyssey" that he originally wanted to do a variety show.
This appears to be a working of that into Odyssey.
