Adventures in Odyssey

Timeline

1991

Past  Index

Somewhere between summer 1990 and June 1991, Hal Cunningham, Lucy's father, died in a car crash, and her mother later remarried to a man named Schultz.

January

Monty Whittaker-Dowd, Whit, Eugene Meltsner and Tom Riley went on an ice-fishing trip ["Ice Fishing"].

Connie directed the play "The Sower and the Seeds" ["Scattered Seeds"].

Monty, Jenny and Jana Whittaker-Dowd went home after visiting Odyssey.

February

Connie, Whit and Robyn opened up a hidden room in Whit's End, and discovered clues, left by Rufus Cowley, to the treasure of Le Monde. However, they were beaten to the treasure by Professor Webster ["The Treasure of Le Monde"].

Coach Stubbs won an award for catching out kids who try and get out of gym class, and was interviewed for the newspaper by Oscar and Curt Stevens, who had joined the paper to do just that ["Front Page News"].

March

Whit helped expose Phil Phillips, who was advising businesses to change their names to something more exciting (and deceptive), as a conman ["By Any Other Name"].

Isaac Morton helped rescue Peter, who had fallen through the ice in a river while taking part in an initiation for "The Bones of Rath", Rodney Rathbone's gang ["Isaac the Courageous"].

Jimmy and Donna Barclay accidentally set their television on fire, and each gave a different version of events to their parents ["Two Sides to Every Story"].

April

Connie Kendall dated Jeff Lewis, but had to break off the relationship with him because he wasn't a Christian ["First Love"].

A series of misunderstandings led to a party being held to commemorate Whit getting engaged to Emma, which wasn't what was happening at all ["Curious, isn't it?"].

June

Whit and Tom organized another Kid's Radio broadcast ["The Big Broadcast"].

July

Lucy threw a surprise birthday party for Curt at Tom Riley's farm, but he was paranoid about practical jokes being played on him ["Pranks for the Memories"].

August

Len, George Barclay's nephew, came to stay with the Barclay family to get Len away from a questionable group of friends. Len brought the game "Castles and Cauldrons" with him and tried to get himself and Jimmy Barclay involved with the occult, but Whit and George succeeded in stopping it ["Castles and Cauldrons"].

Bart Rathbone coached the Stingrays softball team, and helped them to win the championship with his "succeed at all costs" philosophy. For Traci Needlemeyer the victory was a hollow one, since her friend Robyn was injured deliberately to get Donna out the game ["The Winning Edge"].

September

The Edgebiter Chemical Company illegally drained a chemical spill into the creek up-stream from Tom Riley's farm, causing some of Tom's apples to be contaminated and making his horses sick. The Edgebiter Company cleaned up the spill and relocated to a new location ["One Bad Apple", "Tom for Mayor"].

Philip Glossman resigned as a councilman after making racist comments about the Japanese ["Not One of Us"].

November

George and Mary had flu over Thanksgiving, leaving Jimmy and Donna to try and organize celebrating the festival ["Thanksgiving as Home"].

Lucy interviewed her cousin, Albert Schultz, and discovered he was illiterate. She and Whit helped show him the need for being able to read ["Cousin Albert"].

December

Connie's friend Pamela visited her, and had important news: she was pregnant. Pamela went to an abortion clinic in Connellsville, but realised she couldn't just kill her baby ["Pamela has a Problem"].

Whit made a display of models showing scenes from the Nativity, using Eugene and Connie as models for Mary and Joseph. Connie and Eugene took a trip in the Imagination Station to see Jesus' birth ["Back to Bethlehem"].
