Doctor Who was a television series that ran from 1963 to 1989, and since then has been
continued in virtually every format except television. It is about a mysterious being known as
the Doctor, who travels through time and space in the TARDIS. The Doctor is a Time Lord, and
can regenerate his body, and so there have been eight bodies and personalities of the Doctor.
Doctor Who? Good question.

Discworld
The Discworld is a world that is flat, supported by four elephants who stand atop the
great turtle A'Tuin. This is the setting for Terry Pratchett's humurous fantasy series.

Harry Potter is a young wizard who attends Hogwarts School of Magic and Wizardry. He is also the
one who inadvertantly brought down the evil Lord Voldemort as a baby, and has more than his
share of adventure.
Redwall is a fantasy series which centres around Redwall Abbey, founded by Martin the Warrior, a
mouse. All of the characters are animals, the bad ones vermin, the good ones generally the cute
and the fluffy.
Redwall is a place where creatures can live together happily - until the next baddy sets his
sights on Redwall or comes up with some other devious plot, when our heroes go off on a quest to
save the day.
Books chronicaling the exploits of John, Susan, Titty and Roger (of the good boat
Swallow), Nancy and Peggy (of the boat Amazon), and their friends. From sailing
in the Lake District to being shipwrecked in the Chinese sea, they always have fun and
adventure.

I wrote this short story for a Rotary Club essay Competition, and won 1st Prize for it in my age
group. It's about the adventures of a young boy called Michael who is soon travelling between
worlds. I hope to expand and revise it, since I had to leave out many ideas due to time
constraints.
